So people fall back on stopgaps. They set up online or offline events and meetings, or spin up a group on WhatsApp, Slack, or Discord. It's good that people gather at all, but it's scattered all over, and the conversation vanishes as you scroll.

That empty seat — a "business-only" space and app where businesspeople meet one another as equals, in a verified state — was still unfilled. Even though so many people need it.

That's the seat we wanted to fill. So on Businnect we verify directly — at home, by phone number and business registration number; abroad, by official government business-verification documents. Usually you swap a few business cards at an event, exchange a few informal messages over chat or text, and it fizzles out. We want to keep those valuable meetings from ending as one-offs — so a connection made offline stays, verified, inside the platform and keeps going.
