Building Workfloq for healthcare asset operations

Hi everyone, I’m building Workfloq, an asset-operations platform, and I’m particularly interested in learning from people managing medical devices and equipment across hospitals and healthcare networks.

A simple idea behind Workfloq:

Scan the device → Report the problem → Review → Fix → Keep the history.

A QR code on a device can let a nurse, technician, contractor or other staff member report an issue without needing a login or Workfloq account. The asset identifies the relevant organization and gives the maintenance team the context to act.

Over time, each device builds a history of problems, maintenance and work performed.

I'm exploring how this could help healthcare organizations manage equipment across multiple locations.

If you work with medical devices, biomedical engineering, hospital facilities or healthcare asset management, I'd love to hear how you handle this today — and where the process gets difficult.

The Healthcare System Is Under Pressure. Here's What's Changing.

Healthcare systems worldwide are being stretched thin. Aging populations and longer life expectancies are pushing patient demand to record highs, while funding and workforce supply struggle to keep up. Skills shortages and tightening restrictions on migrant healthcare workers are making things harder.

So how is healthcare responding? Quietly but significantly, through technology. Nearly nine in ten healthcare organizations are already embedding AI into their workflows and services, and 40% are committing between $50 and $100 million a year to digital transformation. The goal is doing more with less, without compromising patient care.

The shift won't happen overnight. Regulation, data privacy concerns, and the complexity of AI governance mean most healthcare leaders prefer to move carefully rather than rush. But the direction is clear. A smarter, more digitally connected healthcare system is coming. And patients stand to benefit the most.

Why we created Medverse — a platform connecting healthcare professionals and institutions worldwide

However, the process of people actually doing the work seeking, trusting, and creating places to work together is still uncomfortable. Good job openings and important pharmaceutical company news often struggle to reach the experts who actually need that information.

Information is scattered, connections rely on personal connections, communities that do not provide closed communication channels for healthcare professionals, and transactions and interactions occur through unverified channels.

Medverse started out precisely from that inconvenience. We aimed to create a professional network where verified healthcare professionals and medical institutions from around the world can collaborate, share knowledge, recruit, and grow together across borders in one place.

In this article, we will walk through what Medverse is, what problems it solves, and who it helps and how, step by step, from start to finish.
